Auto-replying to Facebook Page comments and Messenger, done right

A Facebook Page runs two separate conversations at once: comments under your posts (and ads, which tend to bring a flood of "is this real?" and "how much?") and Messenger DMs, which people expect to feel like texting a person, not a company. Automating both is worth it, but they need different handling.

Comments are public, so they double as proof

A comment reply isn't just an answer to one person, everyone scrolling the post reads it too. A fast, specific reply under a comment ("Yes, still available, $45, ships in 2 days") does more for your credibility than a pinned FAQ post ever will, because it's visibly you answering a real question in real time.

Messenger needs to sound like a person, immediately

Messenger conversations start more personal than comments, people often open with a greeting before the actual question. An automated reply that skips straight to a canned answer feels cold. Keep the tone conversational, and route anything that turns into a real back-and-forth (custom orders, complaints, negotiation) to approval mode so a human takes over naturally.

What this looks like with ReplyzHub

ReplyzHub connects to your Facebook Page and handles comments and Messenger as two separate surfaces, each with its own rules, because a comment reply and a DM reply don't need to say the same thing. Approval mode is on by default, so you see every draft before it goes out until you trust a rule enough to let it auto-post.

  • Separate rules for Page comments and Messenger DMs, since what you'd say publicly isn't always what you'd say privately.
  • Ad comments get answered fast, before "is this real?" turns into a lost sale.
  • One dashboard alongside Instagram, WhatsApp and YouTube, no app-switching.

If you're running ads, comment speed matters more than you'd think, a question left unanswered for an hour is often a sale that already went to a competitor.
